Welcome! We are delighted to be able to communicate the details of the new building project with everyone. Please continue to check this link for the latest information.
Let’s bring you up to speed…
The school construction bonds have been sold and the money has been secured for the new building project. Strategic decision making has allowed the district to save over 11 million dollars of interest costs over the life of the bonds! For more details on the financial aspects of the construction process, please visit the “Construction Financial” tab contained in this construction link.
The existing Middle School building will be razed, and the new grades 5-8 Middle School will be built on the existing Carroll campus. This site was selected for many reasons, not the least of which is the significant cost savings that the district will realize. Visit the “Proposed Campus Layout” tab for an aerial view.
We are currently in the design phase of the new building project and we are continually gathering feedback from the community. The established Community Construction Advisory Committee is made up of individuals from across the district who will be talking with friends and neighbors to collect ideas and suggestions. If you would like to be more involved in the new building process, please consider attending the Board of Education meetings. Currently, each meeting begins with a construction update. Come and hear firsthand what is happening and offer ideas! We have already had many creative ideas generated from our community, and look forward to hearing from you.
We continue to strive to involve everyone who wants to be involved and inform the community at large regarding the building project.
Please check back for updates on this exciting process for the Bloom-Carroll community!
